LESLIE BROWN - born Pambula 3rd October 1973

Leslie showed artistic skill from an early age. While in grade 4 he won second place in N.S.W. schools state wide art competition. This led to art lessons with talented Tura Beach artist Isabella Brown. Excelling at Eden high School in art and technical drawing, Leslies' direction was set.

From illustration projects for Mumble Grunt onto graphic designs at the Visual Design Group, Wollongong to animation experience with Micky Duck studios  and Li'l Elvis studios in Melbourne Leslie went on to becoming a leading in-between artist for the ABC

After studying at Arthur Boyd's Bundanoon Art Centre with artist Christopher Gentle and discussions with local artist Shirley Hannon, Leslie was encouraged to put down the pencils and pick up the brushes.

Leslie has been involved in many global issues including the design for the C.E.F.E. infamous Washing machine sculpture "cyclone eternity", Broulee life saving energy human sign, painting a 7 foot yowie  and young for the Bega culture Tent Naidoc week and Leslies' plan for C.E.F.E. human sign at Manly Beach was an Australian record of 6500 people

Leslie has been involved in numerous solo and joint exhibitions in Merimbula and Pambula and recently exhibited in Bondi Beach at the Art Moment Gallery. He has also had a private display of works for M.P. Mike Kelly and M.P. Peter Garrett and 240 guests.and   has also  been awarded Best Drawing at the Bega regional Gallery in 2004, and winner of the Merimbula 2000 art prize,

 Leslie wishes to influence people through his art, promoting multiculturism, one world one people, his paintings today evoke mood and emotion, connecting the viewer to the canvas through beauty and wonder.
