TED HUTCHINSON - ARTIST

Ted Hutchinson's paintings are inspired by the unique landscapes of Australia, from the rugged headlands and beaches of the south east to the magic dry red centre, and the strange ancient mountain formations of the Kimberley.

Ted uses acrylics in a loose impressionistic style. He is passionate about landscapes and bold colours. However his ability and interests are diverse and he uses other media and styles.

His deep understanding of the scenery and cultures of Australia come from extensive travelling. He has gone, looked and adventured there.

He was born and lives in Sydney. Ted started art classes after early retirement. He has studied at Mitchell School of Art; Macquarie College; Ku-ring-gai Art Centre; Grafton Artsfest and Hornsby TAFE; His teachers included Robert Wilson, Patrick Carroll, Val Kemsley, Stella Pearse, Peter Griffen and Colina Grant. Ted has exhibited in many Art Shows and has featured in "Australian Artist Magazine"
